Uses

AM Ag-7 is one of the most versatile and effective silver brazing alloys available for joining virtually all ferrous and non-ferrous metals. AM Ag-7 is widely used in thousands of brazing applications where a ductile, low temperature, free-flowing alloy is required. AM Ag-7 is excellent for joining stainless steel and widely used in the food industry and where a bright silver color is desired.

Brazing Characteristics

AM Ag-7 the lowest cadmium-free silver-based filler metal available, and joins coppers, steels, and brass as well as any silver braze alloy available. A minimum brazing temperature of 1275°F (680°C) is recommended. Am Ag-7 will require a low temperature brazing Flux in almost all applications.
