Uses
AM Au-75 Gold Brazing Alloy is used primarily on furnace or vacuum braze applications requiring low melting temperatures. Primarily used in the RF and Power Semi-Conductor industries. AM Au-75 provides a high-strength braze joint on metallized ceramics, Kovar, and Copper. AM Au-75 is resistant to fatigue stresses and exhibits excellent joint strength.
Brazing Characteristics
AM Au-75 Gold Brazing Alloy can be successfully brazed onto a wide range of low temperature applications requiring low vapor pressure. AM-Au-75 is less ductile than most other gold filler metals. A minimum brazing temperature of 1725 °F (355°C) is recommend for brazing applications and AM-Au-75 is not recommended without a protective cover or shielding gas.
