Uses
AM Mn-37 is a Copper Manganese based brazing alloy primarily used for joining corrosion and heat resistant alloys where high strength, good ductility, and oxidation resistance above 1000°F (538°C) are required. AM Mn-37 is primarily used to join nickel-based alloys, tungsten carbides, and stainless steels.
Brazing Characteristics
AM Mn-37 is a free-flowing alloy (within the capillary) and will diffuse into the base metal creating an intermetallic layer. Recommended joint clearance at brazing temperature for AM Mn-37 is 0.001 in. – 0.005 inch. A minimum brazing temperature of 1670°F (910°C) is recommended.
Specifications
AM Mn-37 is manufactured in accordance to specifications of Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) AMS 4764
Forms Available
Foil, Atomized powder, Paste, Sheet, and Preformed shapes; washers, discs, shims, specialty shapes. Two dimensional shapes can be Laser-cut and/or machined with EDM. Preforms must be cleaned prior to brazing.
